 Stainless steel gear pumps are divided into two types based on their meshing method: external (meshing) gear pumps and internal (meshing) gear pumps. Taking the external meshing gear pump as an example, a pair of identical and mutually meshing gears are installed in the pump casing. The gear driven by the prime mover to rotate is called the driving gear, which is connected to the driving shaft with a key; The gear that is driven to rotate by the driving gear is called the driven gear, which is connected to the driven shaft by a key or slides on the driven shaft. The driving shaft and the driven shaft are parallel to each other. The main and driven gears are respectively surrounded by the pump casing and the front and rear end covers of the pump, forming a sealed space. The suction chamber connected to the suction port and the discharge chamber connected to the discharge port are separated by meshing gear teeth.
