Common problems during the use of rotary pumps

2019-03-05 16:26:52

During the use of rotary pumps, common problems may be encountered that directly affect the production efficiency of the pump. In this case, it is necessary to identify the cause of the problem through troubleshooting, and then find corresponding solutions based on the cause

The following are common problems with rotor pumps:

The current of the rotor pump is too high, which may be caused by the following reasons: high outlet pressure.

. The outlet pipeline should be checked for blockages and the opening of the outlet valve should be checked for suitability; Excessive viscosity of the melt; Poor assembly of shaft seals; Wear of shafts or bearings; Motor malfunction

The rotor pump has no flow, which may be caused by the following reasons: the rotor rotates in the opposite direction. The direction of rotation of the rotor is very important for a rotary pump. If the direction of rotation is reversed, the pump becomes the outlet, and the outlet becomes the outlet. At this point, there will naturally be no medium flowing out of the outlet. Check the direction of rotation and correct the incorrect direction according to the markings on the pump; Close the suction or discharge side pipeline valves. Check if the suction or discharge side pipeline valves are closed. If they are closed, open the valves; There is no medium or the pressure is too low. Although the rotor pump has strong self suction function, there are limitations. A low liquid level can also make the rotor pump unable to suction liquid, resulting in no flow rate of the pump; The protective valve is not tightly closed; The viscosity is too high, and the pump cannot bite the material

The sudden stop of the rotor pump may be caused by the following reasons: power outage; Motor overload protection; Coupling damage; Excessive outlet pressure, interlocking reaction; Abnormal bite inside the pump; The shaft and bearing are stuck due to adhesion

The insufficient flow rate of the rotor pump may be caused by the following reasons: low inlet pressure. Check the pipeline to ensure that the pressure meets the specified requirements, otherwise cavitation may occur; The inlet pipeline is blocked; Severe rotor wear and leakage; Protection valve issue. Check if the protective valve is not tightly sealed; The rotational speed is too low; The viscosity is too low. It is necessary to verify the working range of the pump and select a new one if necessary

The rotor pump has abnormal vibration and noise, which may be caused by the following reasons: large eccentricity of the coupling or poor lubrication; There is gas inside the pump; Motor malfunction; Abnormal gearbox; Poor installation of shaft seal; Shaft deformation or wear
