不锈钢齿轮泵齿轮都有的弹性变形能力，在齿轮的啮合过程之中，齿轮进入啮合时就会产生的弹性形变，接着随后的齿轮进入啮合，此时入啮合的轮齿就会由于载荷突然减小使形变恢复。齿轮由于形变恢复的弹性力就会产生切向加速度，导致啮合齿轮脱离理论齿廓，转运失去平稳而发生碰撞，遭成了“啮合冲击”噪声的产生。啮合冲击噪声大小直接和周节误差，齿形误差，轴线平行度，粗糙度等因素有关。
