Precautions for maintenance of high viscosity pumps

The support, also known as flange flange or flange, of a high viscosity pump should be installed on a common foundation with its driving motor. The foundation, flange, or support should have sufficient stiffness to reduce the vibration and noise generated during the operation of the gear pump. From this, it can be seen that if the impeller of the centrifugal pump continuously rotates, it can continuously absorb and press water, and water can be lifted from low to high or distant places. In summary, centrifugal pumps lift water higher due to the centrifugal force generated by the high-speed rotation of the impeller. The electric motor and gear pump must be connected with features such as zero rotational clearance, synchronous coupling, coaxiality less than 0.1 millimeters, and a tilt angle not exceeding 1 degree. When installing the coupling, do not use a hammer to strike it to avoid damaging the gears and other parts of the gear pump. If driven by pulleys, sprockets, etc., a bracket support should be provided to prevent the bearing of the driving gear from being subjected to radial force. When tightening the anchor screws of the gear pump and motor, the screws should be evenly stressed and connected. When turning the coupling by hand, it should be felt that the gear pump can rotate easily without any abnormal phenomena such as jamming, before piping can be done. The inner diameter of the oil suction pipeline of a high viscosity gear pump should be large enough to avoid narrow passages or sharp bends, minimize bends, remove unimportant valves (functions: cut-off, diversion, pressure stabilization, diversion, etc.), accessories, and minimize the installation height of the pump. The length of the oil suction pipeline should be shortened to reduce pressure loss. The sealing of components such as pipe joints should be good to prevent air intrusion and control the occurrence of cavitation and erosion. Before starting operation, fill the housing of the gear pump with the liquid to be conveyed for easy start-up. If the ambient temperature is below freezing point, hot steam should be introduced into the pump in advance for preheating treatment before starting the gear pump. The rotation direction of the gear pump should match the inlet and outlet ports. If the gear pump is operated for the first time or is idle for a long time before use, it is better to run it for about an hour under no-load or low load conditions. If abnormal temperature rise, leakage, vibration, and noise are detected in advance during the running in stage, machine inspection should be carried out

High viscosity pumps have good performance and can meet the needs of different industries. In the event of malfunctions and defects that may occur during use, the group should pay attention to daily maintenance work. Follow the instructions for using high viscosity pumps to operate in a standardized manner, and avoiding non-standard operations is the first step in achieving high viscosity pump maintenance

2. The placement of high viscosity pumps is very particular, and the location of the oil pump should be protected from moisture. If the high viscosity pump is made of cast iron, it is easy to cause corrosion in this environment for a long time. Staying away from acids and alkalis can help high viscosity pumps avoid corrosion

3. Maintenance of high viscosity pump parts. During the disassembly process of the high viscosity pump, attention should be paid to the preservation of the parts. The assembly process of the oil pump is important and cannot be easily omitted. Each step is designed by the manufacturer through testing, and small problems during installation may be major problems during operation

4. High viscosity pumps require their lubrication during operation, as lubricating grease is prone to volatilization. This requires frequent addition of lubricating grease to high viscosity pumps, and the cleaning of high viscosity pump bearings can also ensure the smooth operation of high viscosity pumps
