Startup inspection and overload issues of Roots pump

Firstly, the start-up inspection of LC Roots pump

Before officially starting the Roots pump for operation, a series of inspections must be carried out before the start-up operation can be carried out. This behavior is mainly to ensure that the device has no malfunction issues before starting up, so as to ensure the smooth operation of the next startup. It can also avoid accidents that may occur during the startup process of the equipment and cause danger. So what kind of inspection work needs to be done before starting up? 1. Check whether the liquid level in the water tank of the water flushing pump (front stage pump) reaches more than 3/4 of the water tank. If it is insufficient, make up for it

2. Check if the water used in the water tank is clean. It is not allowed to use sewage containing sediment to avoid blockages in the pipeline. LC Roots pump may cause damage to the pump impeller and increase motor load, which can affect the service life of the water flushing pump

3. Check the height of the lubricating oil level in the middle pump and main pump body, which must reach more than 3/4 of the oil window. The middle ring vacuum equipment should also check the color of the lubricating oil. If there are many milky white or black impurities in the LC Roots pump, notify the machine repair to replace the lubricating oil

4. Check if the circulating cooling water circuit of the intermediate pump and main pump is intact, open the inlet and outlet valves of the circulating cooling water, and check if the circulating cooling water inlet and outlet are normal

5. Check if the drain valve of the buffer tank at the bottom of the intermediate pump is closed

6. Check if the circuit is intact and if all indications in the control cabinet are normal

7. Check if the starting pressure of the intermediate pump and main pump on the electrode contact pressure gauge is normal (the starting inlet pressure of the intermediate pump is above 0.065Mpa, and the starting inlet pressure of the main pump is above 0.085Mpa)

Therefore, before starting the LC Roots pump, it is necessary to perform the above checks and confirm that there are no problems before starting the equipment. But this does not mean that the equipment will not have problems during operation, so it is still necessary for the operator to periodically check the operation of the equipment to ensure that it is in good condition, in order to avoid sudden unexpected situations during operation that may not be dealt with in a timely manner and cause significant danger

Secondly, how to deal with the overload problem of the Roots pump

If overload occurs during operation, it is necessary to stop the machine in a timely manner and then inspect the Roots pump to mitigate the adverse effects caused by the overload problem.

. Otherwise, the overload reaction will cause excessive loss of the Roots pump until it cannot be used. So let's teach you some methods to deal with the overload of the Roots pump:

First, preparation before starting

Check all components, check if the cooling circuit of the Roots pump is unobstructed, and check the exhaust valve to ensure it is in an open state. Pay attention to checking to ensure that the oil level of each pump is on the oil level line. If it is below the oil level line, oil needs to be added. If it exceeds the oil level line, oil should be drained. Check if the direction of the motor's rotation is consistent with the arrow on the pump. If the equipment is stopped for a long time and restarted, check if the parts rotate flexibly. If they cannot rotate, they need to be manually rotated a few times. Do not use the motor to forcefully start, as it will seriously cause damage to the pump

2. Precautions during startup

Before starting, it is necessary to open the cooling water valve of the Roots pump, start the front stage pump, and at the same time, open the inlet valve of the front stage pump.

. After the front pump runs smoothly, open the intake valve and close the vent valve, and the equipment will start automatically. During the operation of the equipment, if there is excessive local temperature, irregular noise, or other abnormal phenomena, the Roots pump should be immediately stopped for inspection

III. Precautions for Stopping the Equipment

Before stopping, the intake valve should be closed first, and the vent valve of the Roots pump should be opened to automatically stop the equipment. Close the inlet valve of the previous stage pump and stop the previous stage pump at the same time.

. Close the cooling water valve of the equipment. If it is stopped for a long time, the Roots pump should drain all the water in the cooling water jacket in cold areas, otherwise it will freeze and cause damage to the water inside the jacket due to expansion

4. Maintenance and upkeep. Roots pumps should maintain a clean and dry environment around the equipment. The lubrication of each component should be checked regularly. If the lubricating oil is insufficient, it should be replenished in a timely manner. When the lubricating oil is contaminated, clean lubricating oil should be replaced in a timely manner. After replacement, attention should be paid to re tightening the bolts to ensure a sealed environment. During disassembly and repair, each component should not be knocked with external force. Special attention should also be paid to the flatness and smoothness of the sealing surface, otherwise it may cause air leakage after reassembly
