Preparation before starting

1. Check the lubricating oil inside the gearbox and end cover A, and the oil level should reach the middle position of the sight glass. The oil cup of the extended shaft seal is often filled with lubricating oil and must be kept clean. The oil should be changed after 30-50 hours of use of a new pump, and it can be determined whether to change the oil according to the usage situation in the future

2. If the inhaled gas contains dust or other metal powder, a dust or filtering device should be installed in front of the air inlet. If the inhaled gas is corrosive, use intermediate measures

3. Check for any looseness in the pump components

4. Inch the motor and check if the direction of the motor rotation is consistent with the arrow on the pump. 5. Check if the cooling water is connected. (Small LC Roots pump without cooling water)

Starting steps

1. Connect the power and start the front stage pump (start the front stage pump according to the instructions on the front stage pump)

2. Open the intake valve of the LC Roots pump

3. Start the LC Roots pump

4. The pump should run smoothly and there should be no collision or impact sound from the rotor

5. There should be no leakage at the shaft seal of the pump

During the operation of the Roots oil pump, if the local temperature rises too much, the current reading suddenly changes, or irregular noise or other abnormal phenomena occur, the pump should be stopped immediately to check the cause

Stop pump steps

1. First, close the intake valve connected to the system.

2. Stop the pump. (Close the LC Roots pump exhaust valve)

3. Stop the front stage pump

When disassembling and assembling Roots pumps, pay attention to your own operating behavior, otherwise it is easy to cause damage to the pump body during disassembly and even make the equipment unusable. Therefore, the following will explain some instructions and requirements for disassembling and assembling to avoid errors during operation.

Before disassembly, measure and record the clearances between each part of the rotor

(2) Try to avoid hitting with a heavy hammer, and the removed parts should not be damaged and kept properly

(3) Record in detail the reasons and usage of the parts that need to be replaced

(4) Before reassembling the Roots pump, all components must be cleaned thoroughly and the brush must be polished

(5) The static sealing surface without sealing gasket or sealing ring should be sealed with silicone paint, and the rubber seal used for static sealing should be coated with vacuum cock grease

(6) Adjust the clearances of each part of the rotor according to the clearance list

After all are installed, a leak detection must be carried out

After reassembly, a trial run and performance test must be conducted, and the Roots pump can only be installed and used after it is functioning properly
