齿轮油泵的工作原理就是两个齿轮相互外啮合的过程，一般情况向，齿轮油泵的自吸是4-5米。但是有的客户会反馈新泵刚刚装上，试机时却不能上料。像这种情况一般由以下几种情况所引起的：1、齿轮泵的进出油口有防尘垫阻隔，但使用时没有把防尘垫戳破并取出。

2、进口管道过长，管道的长度深度远超5米，造成了超出泵的自吸范围。 3、介质粘稠度过高，当介质粘稠度过高时应相应缩短自吸的距离。

4、泵腔内没有物料，假如泵腔内没有物料的话要提前在齿轮泵进口处加入物料。
