Cleaning process of self suction centrifugal oil pump and measures for dealing with cavitation faults

(1) Cleaning process of self suction centrifugal pump is an important part of pump repair work, and the quality of cleaning has a great impact on mechanical repair. One of the considerations for repair workers is to use the correct cleaning methods to improve cleaning quality and reduce costs

Cleaning in repair work includes mechanical external cleaning and part cleaning. Part cleaning can be divided into pre identification cleaning, pre assembly cleaning, and pre coating or bonding preparation cleaning depending on the purpose

In the cleaning of parts for self suction centrifugal oil pumps, the cleaning requirements for plated covers and bonded parts are high, and the cleaning quality is not high. It is often the cause of coating or bonding failure, and the cleaning quality of component assembly has a significant impact on the service life of the machinery. Due to severe unqualified cleaning, a large amount of abrasive infiltrates into important friction pairs or blocks the lubricating oil passage due to dirt, leading to early wear and accidental damage of the machinery. This often occurs in some non-standard repair work, and attention should be paid

Cleaning several components of self suction centrifugal oil pump

1. Clean the bearing shells and bearings, remove oil stains, and then clean the oil ring and oil level gauge. Ball bearings should be cleaned with gasoline

2. Clean the water seal pipe and check if the inside of the pipe is unobstructed

3. Parts and components that are not temporarily assembled should be protected with oil after cleaning

4. Clean the accumulated oil and rust on the joint surfaces of the water pump housing

5. Scrape off the scale and rust accumulated on the inner and outer surfaces of the impeller, as well as the sealing rings and bearings, and then clean and blow clean with water or compressed air

The basic principle for cleaning self suction centrifugal oil pumps is the cleaning method, which fully considers the following basic requirements

1. Meet the requirements for the cleanliness of parts. In repairing water pumps, different types of components have different levels of cleanliness requirements. In assembly, the cleanliness requirements for mating parts are higher than non mating parts, dynamic mating parts are higher than static mating parts, and mating parts are higher than non mating parts. The cleaning requirements for the surfaces of sprayed, plated, and bonded workpieces are very high. When cleaning, different cleaning agents and methods are adopted according to different requirements to achieve the required cleaning quality

2. Prevent corrosion of parts and do not allow any degree of corrosion to the parts. When the water pump parts need to be parked for a period of time after cleaning, the anti rust ability of the cleaning solution or other anti rust measures should be considered

3. Operation to prevent fire, poisoning of human body, and environmental pollution

(II) Treatment Measures for Cavitation Fault of Self suction Centrifugal Oil Pump

The phenomenon of cavitation in self suction centrifugal oil pump is a serious fault that affects the normal operation of self suction centrifugal oil pump. It is necessary to reasonably judge the phenomenon that occurs after cavitation occurs in the self suction centrifugal oil pump, take better treatment measures, and remove the cavitation fault before it can operate.

When the temperature of the fluid in a self suction centrifugal pump is too high, a large amount of gas remains in the air of the pump, causing the liquid inside the pump to vaporize and impact the impeller, resulting in severe damage to the impeller and inability to properly suck in and discharge the liquid

If the liquid level of the self suction centrifugal pump is too low, the temperature of the liquid entering the self suction centrifugal pump is too high, and the pipeline at the inlet of the self suction centrifugal pump is blocked, causing excessive vibration of the self suction centrifugal pump. In severe cases, no liquid is discharged and abnormal noise is emitted. After analysis and judgment, it was determined that the phenomenon of cavitation occurred in the self suction centrifugal oil pump. Through venting design, the phenomenon of cavitation can be solved in order to restore the normal operation of the self suction centrifugal oil pump unit, restore the normal input and output conditions of the self suction centrifugal oil pump, and achieve the designed production capacity
